What is the NISM 2A exam?
The NISM Series II (A): Registrars and Transfer Agents (Corporate) Certification Examination is the requisite standard for associated persons working in Registrar to an Issue and Share Transfer Agent (R&T agent) organizations who deal with investors or issuers, process applications, handle corporate actions, and manage investor grievances for listed companies. It is conducted by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) and creates a common minimum knowledge benchmark for better investor service, operational efficiency, and risk controls in the RTA function.

Passing the NISM 2A exam
NISM 2A is a 100-mark computer-based test of 100 questions (1 mark each) to be completed in 2 hours, with a passing score of 50%. There is no negative marking on this exam. NISM can revise its criteria, so always verify the current passing marks and exam structure on nism.ac.in before registering.
